I am so much against cheap self promotional stunts. So much; that I once yelled at Ryan Hoffman (developer of Bink.nu) for making a post on similar lines that it would be hypocritical on my part if I did pull something of that sort but trust me if I had an alternate example I'd have used that.
I was going through referrals to my blog posts when I noticed that someone came to my post "Hungry Wolves" via a search on MSN. So just out of curiosity I did a search on the same phrase "wolves & beautiful women" on Google without the quotes of course. Surprisingly while MSN Search returned a link to this post on page 4 Google didn't had it listed until page 8, that is after which I basically gave up . Guess this means from now on, I'll use MSN over Google for my research on unchartered topics. Though I do realize MSN Search has a long way to go on their image search which is quite pathetic compared to Google's offering.
Update - Many people are discovering exciting new improvements in MSN Search. Like Alex Gomes who has found that MSN is showing the freshest search results.
